With a PhD in English literature at the University of York, my thesis James Joyce and His Early Church: The Art of Schism and Heresy significantly expanding our sense of Joyce’s library, and years of experience as the managing editor of the online cultural magazine Culturedarm, in addition to its sister publications The Shimmering Ostrich and Tepid Take, I am an accomplished editor whose skills encompass content editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Having graduated with my doctorate in English literature in 2018, I am currently in the process of revising and editing my thesis for book publication. At Culturedarm, I have written editorial pieces on general elections in England and Sweden, explored cultural contexts in Ukraine and Crimea, and contributed acclaimed long-form articles in the areas of literature, music, and film, including the piece ‘Themes and References in Joanna Newsom’s “Sapokanikan”‘ which was featured by The Wall Street Journal. Working as a freelance translator for Umeå University, I have also edited the content of research questionnaires sent out by the Clinical Science department.
A talented researcher and a wide reader, I have a keen eye for style, a discerning eye for mistakes, academic rigour as well as a fondness for idiosyncracies. I am especially strong on points of detail, and offer a range of services from basic proofreading to intensive content editing which may involve stylistic advice, the restructuring of paragraphs, rewriting and some degree of content creation.
